サイバートラスト株式会社(本社：東京都港区、代表取締役社長：眞柄泰利、以下サイバートラスト)は、「サイバートラスト マネージドPKI（以下、MPKI）」が株式会社ワコム（以下、ワコム）の液晶サインタブレット「STU-541」の認証データ発行サービスに採用されたことをお知らせいたします。
欧州や中東、中国など海外の金融機関では、パソコンに液晶サインタブレット等の周辺機器を接続して使用する際、意図した機器と接続されているかなど、「すり替え」や「なりすまし」による情報流出を起こさないようにするための認証ニーズが重要視されています。サイバートラストの MPKI は、このようなニーズに応えて、機器ごとの認証に必要な電子証明書を発行するサービスを、この度「STU-541」向けに提供することになりました。
【認証サービスの仕組み】
- 周辺機器の製造段階で、コピーや改ざんが出来ないようにした電子証明書を組込みます。
- 利用時、周辺機器からパソコンへサインデータを取り込む時に、接続された周辺機器の電子証明書を専用アプリで確認し認証します。
高度なセキュリティ機能を有するワコムの「STU-541」は、銀行口座の開設書類や、高額預金引き出しの際の本人確認用書類の署名などの用途に適しており、今後需要の拡大が見込まれています。

Wacom's New Signature Pad

Cybertrust Japan Co.,Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Yasutoshi Magara, hereinafter referred to as Cybertrust) announces that Cybertrust has started offering its "Cybertrust Managed PKI(MPKI)" for the STU-541, Wacom's most secure signature pad. MPKI provides an authentication platform service for IoT devices that include electronic certificates, such as the STU-541.
Especially in financial institutions in Europe, the Middle East and China, there is a growing need for authenticating peripheral devices such as signature pads, when connecting them to PCs. This authentication process defends against information leaks caused by malicious device replacement or impersonation. In response to these needs, Cybertrust's MPKI has been implemented for the STU-541 to issue the electronic certificates necessary for the authentication of each device.
[Authentication Service Process]
- Install anti-copying or anti-tampering electronic certificates at the factory in peripheral devices
- Use a dedicated application to confirm and authenticate the electronic certificates embedded in the connected devices when importing signature data from the devices to PCs
Wacom's STU-541, which features advanced security functions, is ideal for situations requiring the highest level of security, such as opening a new bank account and verifying an individual's identity when making large withdrawals. We expect that the demand for higher security signature pads like the STU-541 will continue to increase in the future.
