Yocto Project 5.2 リリース (Walnascar)
はじめに
リリースから時間が経ってしまいましたが、2025/5/8 に Yocto Project 5.2 がリリースされました。 Yocto Project 5.x 系のマイナーリリースとなります。
執筆時点でポイントリリースとなる 5.2.1 がリリースされていますが、別途ご紹介します。
所感
5.2 ではIMAGE_FEATURESからdebug-tweaksが削除されるという大きな変化があります。

リリース内容
Yocto Project 5.2 は LTS ではなく通常リリースとなります。は 2025/11 までサポートされます。
Linux kernel 6.12, gcc 14.2, glibc 2.41, LLVM 19.1.7、その他 300 以上のレシピが更新されました。
ホスト OS の Python の最小バージョンが 3.9 となります。

新機能 / 機能拡張
いくつか抜粋します。
debug-tweaks の削除
前述の通り、IMAGE_FEATURES で debug-tweaks が削除されているためこの値を指定することができなくなっています。
これ以降のバージョンで同じ機能を実現する場合には以下の IMAGE_FEATURES をすべて追加する必要があります。
- allow-empty-password
- allow-root-login
- empty-root-password
- post-install-logging
CVE チェック関連
- CVSS v4.0 のサポートが追加
- NVD_DB_VERSION により、NVD データベース (NVD1,NVD2,FKIE) が指定可能となった
既知の問題 (Known issue)
- NVD が CVE に紐づく CPE をアノテーションしなくなったため、一部の CVE が正しく検出できない問題がある。
